CYBERSECURITY · FOUNDER · RESEARCHER · LEADER · COMPUTER SCIENTIST
Cybersecurity founder, researcher and leader.
I build systems that attack like the bad guys so the good guys can fix things first. The Army taught me how to lead people. Berkeley taught me how to break things on purpose.

The first word of the internet was LO.
On October 29, 1969, a computer at UCLA tried to send the word LOGIN to a computer at Stanford. It crashed after two letters. The first message ever sent on the network that became the internet was LO. Those are my initials. I didn't plan it. I'll take it.

ABOUT
Who's behind this
I'm a US Army Master Sergeant, a cybersecurity professional, computer scientist and a founder. I've spent 19 years leading people in the Army. Now I build autonomous security systems and write about what I find. Most people call me Salty. Some of them mean it as a compliment.
